This painting is of the Santa Monica Carousel, on the Santa Monica Pier, California. I tried to capture the sense of movement and light of the carousel, with people having fun and enjoying the ride.

"Gabrielino Peace"

I titled this painting "Gabrielino Peace" because the hiking trail is called Gabrielino Trail, but really it's a painting of Switzer Creek. I tried to capture the peaceful feeling that I got when I was there, and the way the light was coming through the trees and reflecting off the water.

This painting is of Brookside Park, in Pasadena, near the Rose Bowl. I tried to capture the spirit of the Park on a Saturday afternoon, with people running around chasing their kids and having fun.
